# CoPage vs Templafy

> Choose Templafy for document governance across a company in Microsoft 365: company templates, approved content, legal text and approval workflows applied to Office documents, also from AI assistants through its MCP. Choose CoPage when agents build client proposals with architecture and process diagrams, and your team reviews their work by comment, runs checks the agent fixes and signs off before export.

Templafy calls itself the agentic platform for professional documents. Its Document Agents turn content into
branded documents in Microsoft Office formats with your templates, approved content and compliance rules, and
Templafy MCP brings them to Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot and other assistants. CoPage is a workspace where the AI
agents you already use build decks and diagrams, and people review, check and sign off before anything reaches a
client.

## At a glance

| | CoPage | Templafy |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A workspace where agents build decks and diagrams and people review and sign off, plus a free local CLI for diagrams | A platform for governed business documents, with Document Agents that work in Microsoft Office and from AI assistants |
| Made for | Consulting, pre-sales and architecture teams making client proposals | Companies that need every document on brand and compliant, from individuals to large enterprises |
| AI agents and MCP | Works with the agents you already use: Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP clients connect to the app; Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and GitHub Copilot through the CLI. No AI of its own does the work | Templafy MCP connects ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Perplexity, Gemini and Glean to its Document Agents; listed in Claude's connector directory, the ChatGPT plugin directory and Microsoft Marketplace since 15 September 2026. MCP on every plan |
| Editing agent work in place | Agents edit existing decks slide by slide, element by element, see what people changed since their last edit and build on it. One agent edits at a time, and a person can stop it | AI generation and editing of PowerPoint; outputs can be edited further with AI or in PowerPoint |
| Review and sign-off | Comments for people or for your own agent, which makes the change and replies; history of who changed what, a person or an agent; versions from the last 30 days restored, ones marked with a status kept for good; people lock finished slides so agents leave them alone | Approval workflows, audit logs and governance controls on the Enterprise plan |
| Checks before the client | Packs of checks the agent runs and fixes: Client-ready (placeholders, personal data, one currency, hidden slides), On brand (theme colors and fonts), Business case | Brand rules applied as documents are made; Check for PowerPoint scans a presentation against predefined rules; a rules engine on Enterprise |
| Diagrams with official cloud icons | Architecture and BPMN process diagrams with AWS, Azure and Google Cloud icons, linked on slides: fix one, and every slide that shows it updates | — (the Team plan includes a general set of 3,000+ icons) |
| Decks and PowerPoint | Native PowerPoint (shapes, tables and charts stay editable) and PDF | Documents in Microsoft 365 Office formats; works inside Microsoft Office and from AI assistants |
| Local and offline | The free CLI works on your computer, for diagrams; a private deployment runs on your own servers or cloud account | — (Enterprise offers bring-your-own LLM) |
| Pricing as published | CLI free; the app is in early access, by request; private deployments as pilots | Individual free (1 seat); Team $40 per user per month (up to 25 seats); Enterprise priced on request |

## When to choose Templafy

- Your people work in Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, and the documents must be made there, in Office formats.
- You need governance at company scale: centrally managed templates, legal language and disclaimers, approved
content, permissions, SSO and SCIM, audit logs.
- Documents should draw on company knowledge in SharePoint, Glean or a CRM, through Templafy's connectors.
- You need Word documents and other Office files, not only presentations.

## When to choose CoPage

- Agents build the work, and you need a review loop on it: comment on an area, the agent makes the change, runs
the checks and replies; it keeps what people edited by hand, and anyone can stop it.
- The proposal carries architecture and BPMN process diagrams with the official Azure, AWS and Google Cloud icons,
linked on the slides, so a fix in one diagram reaches every slide that shows it.
- Your review rules should become checks the agent runs and fixes before a person looks, with findings people can
  jump to or ignore.
- Architects and developers keep the same diagrams in their repo with the free CoPage CLI.

## Using them together

There's no integration between them. CoPage exports native PowerPoint files, so a deck can continue in
PowerPoint with whatever tools your company runs there.

## Questions

### Is CoPage an alternative to Templafy?

Partly. Both put company standards on documents that AI helps make. Templafy governs Office documents across a
company, Word included. CoPage is for client proposals and architecture work: agents build decks and diagrams,
people review them by comment, and checks run before anything reaches a client.

### Does CoPage work with Claude and ChatGPT?

Yes. People connect the assistant they already use to the CoPage app over MCP, and coding agents such as Claude
Code, Codex, Cursor and GitHub Copilot work through the CoPage CLI or MCP.

### Can CoPage use our brand and review rules?

Yes. A theme holds your brand: colors, fonts, type scale and a master with logo and footer. Check packs hold the
review rules, built from CoPage's library of checks. A pilot sets up both with your team.

### Where does CoPage keep documents?

CoPage Cloud stores them in Frankfurt, in the EU. A private deployment runs on your own servers or cloud account,
and the CLI keeps diagrams on your computer.
