# CoPage vs Gamma

> Choose Gamma to generate polished presentations, documents and web pages from a prompt and share them with viewer analytics. Choose CoPage when agents build client proposals with architecture and process diagrams linked on the slides, and your team reviews the agent's work, runs checks it fixes and signs off before exporting to PowerPoint.

Gamma is an AI app for presentations, documents and web pages: you describe what you need, and Gamma's own AI
builds it in your theme. Its MCP server lets assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT create and export gammas.
CoPage is a workspace where the AI agents you already use build decks and diagrams, and people review, check and
sign off before anything reaches a client.

## At a glance

| | CoPage | Gamma |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A workspace where agents build decks and diagrams and people review and sign off, plus a free local CLI for diagrams | An AI app that creates presentations, documents and web pages |
| Made for | Consulting and pre-sales teams making client proposals; solution architects | Anyone who needs a presentation, document or page made quickly |
| AI agents and MCP | Works with the agents you already use: Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP clients connect to the app; Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and GitHub Copilot through the CLI. No AI of its own does the work | Gamma's own AI and AI Agent in the app. A hosted MCP server (connectors in Claude, ChatGPT and Slack) generates gammas, also from templates, reads gammas and their comments, shows analytics and exports. API access from the Pro plan. Generations use credits |
| Editing agent work in place | Agents edit existing decks slide by slide, element by element, see what people changed since their last edit and build on it. One agent edits at a time, and a person can stop it | Gamma's MCP docs: editing a gamma through MCP is "not today", only in the Gamma app |
| Review and sign-off | Comments for people or for your own agent, which makes the change and replies; history of who changed what, a person or an agent; versions from the last 30 days restored, ones marked with a status kept for good; people lock finished slides so agents leave them alone | Comments in Gamma (readable through MCP); viewer analytics |
| Checks before the client | Packs of checks the agent runs and fixes: Client-ready (placeholders, personal data, one currency, hidden slides), On brand, Before presenting, Business case | — |
| Diagrams with official cloud icons | Architecture and BPMN process diagrams with AWS, Azure and Google Cloud icons, linked on slides: fix one, and every slide that shows it updates | — |
| Decks and PowerPoint | Native PowerPoint (shapes, tables and charts stay editable) and PDF | Export to PowerPoint, PDF, PNG and Google Slides (through PPTX); tables export as editable tables. Free-plan exports carry a "Made by Gamma" badge. Imports PowerPoint files |
| Local and offline | The free CLI works on your computer, for diagrams | — |
| Pricing as published | CLI free; the app is in early access, by request; private deployments as pilots | Free, Plus, Pro, Ultra and Business plans, per user, with AI credits |

## When to choose Gamma

- You want a good-looking presentation, document or web page from a prompt in minutes, with Gamma's AI doing the
  writing and design.
- You publish and share online: web pages on your own domain, password protection and analytics on who viewed what.
- You want to start from an existing PowerPoint file and restyle it.
- Your team doesn't use coding agents, and one app with its own AI is simpler than connecting an assistant.

## When to choose CoPage

- The deck is client work your firm has to stand behind: people review it by comment, the agent makes the change
and replies, and the checks run before anyone presents it.
- The proposal needs architecture and process diagrams, drawn with the official Azure, AWS and Google Cloud icons
and linked on the slides, not pictures pasted in.
- You keep working on an existing deck with your agent over several rounds, and it builds on your hand edits
instead of generating a new version.
- You need native PowerPoint at the end, in your client's brand, with every change attributed to a person or an
  agent.

## Using them together

There's no integration between them. Both export PowerPoint files, and Gamma imports them, so a deck can move
from CoPage to Gamma as a `.pptx` file.

## Questions

### Is CoPage an alternative to Gamma?

For client proposals that agents build and people sign off, yes. If you want one app that writes and designs a
presentation from a prompt, Gamma does that; CoPage relies on the agent you already use and focuses on review,
checks and diagrams.

### Can my agent edit an existing deck in CoPage?

Yes. Agents read a deck as an outline, change single elements with atomic edits, see what people changed since
their last edit, and render the slides to look at their work.

### Does CoPage export to PowerPoint?

Yes: native PowerPoint with editable shapes, tables and charts, and PDF. A linked diagram goes into the
PowerPoint file as one vector picture.

### Can I bring my Gamma decks to CoPage?

Export the gamma as PowerPoint, then ask your agent to rebuild it in CoPage with CoPage's "PowerPoint to CoPage"
skill: it recreates each slide as editable text, shapes, tables and charts, close to the original but not
pixel-exact, and lists what it approximated.
